About Me

I am a senior at Marquette University in Milwaukee serving as the assistant sports editor for the award winning school newspaper, the Marquette Tribune. I wrote, read and edited stories, took pictures and designed layouts for pages. I was in charge of a staff of 10 people on the sports desk and was responsible for assigning stories and photo opportunities to the reporters and photographers.

When I am not at Marquette, I live in Worth, Illinois, a suburb 20 minutes away from Chicago. I originally hail from Guadalajara, Mexico, otherwise known as “la perla del occidente” or the “pearl of the west” in spanish. I moved to the United States in 1997 when I was six years old. I am fluent in both English and Spanish and can read and write in both langauges.

On the personal side, I am an avid sports fan and follow all sorts of sports from football and basketball to rugby and volleyball. My passion, however, is soccer. I have been playing and watching since I was two years old. I am currently an intern at the Milwaukee Wave professional indoor soccer team where I am responsible for writing game previews, game notes and press releases.
